10 Cool Teekas To Buy This Shaadi Season

Dress to impress!

By Sherazade Khan

What’s monsoon without pakoras and what’s a wedding without teekas? As pointless and boring as Hrithik Roshan’s defense against Kangana Ranaut’s allegations. Coming back to the more interesting topic – the teeeka – it is undoubtedly one of our most favourite desi accessory. I’ve yet to find a person on whom the teeka doesn’t look good.

It goes with just about any ensemble you choose to wear, be it a shalwar kameez, gharara, lehenga or even a sari. It’s a staple item in the jewellery box, and you should totally invest in a few cool versions to wear with different sets and outfits!

Here we round up our favourites, and where to buy them!

This beautiful teeka (yes, it’s a teeka on top of a matha patti) along with the other jewellery that adorns Armeena Khan in her shoot for Yalghaar, is from Gold by Reama Malik. The traditional chaandbaala design is enhanced by the maatha patti but would look striking even without it.
