Do you know the feeling of falling unconditionally and irrevocably in love with someone’s Instagram feed? We’ve been there. Scrolling through our instagram feeds elicits a smorgasbord of feelings within us. Who we follow is of prime importance, for the right choker paired with the perfect pair of booties can calm us down in ways no Zanax can.
You might hate them on days they make you feel like an ugly non-entity, or get envious of their sartorial choices, but you cannot deny that deep down you’re crushing on these instagram celebs big time. You probably wake up in the middle of the night just to scroll through their beautiful feed featuring eye-popping outfits. And the next day you find yourself pondering a little bit longer on your ‘look of the day’.
Such is the power of these fashionistas and if you don’t have your own set of fashionable ladies to follow on Instagram, then here are our top picks.
Help yourself and follow them.
Marketing Manager for Daraz by day, and a stylist at night, this one is a busy bee. This doesn’t mean that she mopes around in rags! We wonder how she manages to look picture perfect at all times. Street style is her forte and sneakers are her best friend. Alishay is the only Pakistani stylist who dares to experiment with fishnet stocking under ripped denims.
A journalist by profession, Manahyl is a picture of ease, elegance and class. We often spot her trotting along on the streets of Toronto looking like she just stepped out of a fashion magazine. Her preferred colour palette is pastels mixed with a bit of colour here and there.
She doesn’t let pregnancy get in the way of her outfit choices and we love that!
We’re sure you remember Mawra Hocane and Urwa Hocane’s cover shoot for OK Magazine in which they posed in gorgeous naths with a horse? Well, the styling for that shoot was done by Fizza Furqan. Her vivacious sartorial choices make her our go-to fashionista when we need inspiration regarding eastern wear. While she herself keeps it basic with lots of blacks and burgundies, we absolutely adore her styling projects.
Scellina Asad and Monty Junejo
These two are inseparable (and you’ll agree with us once you check their Instagram feeds) and their style complements each other. In short, Monty and Scellina give us major bestfriend goal! These two displayed the perfect day to night looks while vacationing in Italy; She in her floral dresses and he in his stripped suits. We’re obsessed to say the least. You go Glen co-co!
This fashion blogger loves her over coats and doesn’t let the hijab get in her way. The way she pairs her capes with basic tees and makes a style statement is what we all need to learn. And apart from looking chic throughout the day, making a turban look uber cool, and blogging; she also has her own clothing line!
Mehreen AKA Mehshake is a ‘reluctant’ blogger as she puts it. She reviews makeup products and shares deets regarding her OOTDs. Her makeup is always on point and so are her outfits. She looks good even while eating a gelato!
This Indian blogger instagrams her way around the world and has found a permanent place on our feeds. Her layering game is strong and her accessories take her outfit to a whole new level. You should surely take some accessorizing cues from her. While her style is predominantly boho, her desi looks are nothing short of amazing.
Here is another Indian blogger whom you must follow. She does desi-western looks like no one else. She’ll incorporate a striped black and white shirt with a shocking pink sari or dare to sport an all-maroon look; Komal’s style is daring and inspiring at the same time.
If you love to live your life on the edge then Monikh is the one for you. She has those bad girl vibes that instantly attract you towards her and her dresses (minus the thigh-high slits) can easily be worn in this part of the world too. So go Monikh!
This lady here runs a blog, writes an Athleisure column for Who What Wear AND landed a job at the Tobe Report as the Concept Editor even before she got her degree! She’s a power woman who knows how to dress savvy. Isn’t that the case most of the time though? You need to dress well to do well in life. Do think about that.
