Brush Your Hair Right
You may be wondering that its just brushing hair not rocket science. How difficult can it be? Let us tell you there is right and wrong in brushing hair as well. All those high end hair treatments will be of no use when the most important part is not being taken care of. You could be damaging your hair by brushing it wrong.
Let’s us guide you in the right way to brush your hair.
CHOOSE THE RIGHT BRUSH
First things first, the main source should be right. When the beginning isn’t right then how can you expect all to come together by the end of the day? Never use a low quality brush. It matters a lot. Invest in a good hair brush, preferably one from Body Shop or wherever you deem fit. Yes, they might be costlier than the normal ones but trust us they’re good for your hair.
KEEP YOUR BRUSH CLEAN
Cleanliness is important! An unclean brush is can be very off-putting. Not only that, it is also a health hazard! Why get your brush to become unhygienic? With time the brush gets deposited with all the hair products and other things that you might be putting on your hair. We surely don’t think you want all that to go back in, do you?
WAIT FOR HAIR TO DRY
Do not, we repeat, do NOT brush wet hair! No matter how late you’re getting late. Wet hair are weak, hence, easily broken. The best time to brush your hair is when it is dry.
DON’T BRUSH FROM ROOT TO TIP
We all are guilty of doing this. We have seen everyone brushing their hair this way so, without questioning we all jumped on the bandwagon believing it to be the right way. Although this is a bad idea! You just end up giving stress to your hair. All those tugs that occur are painful for you and damaging for your hair, often resulting in hair breakage. So, how to brush hair? Start from the bottom and then work your way to the roots.
100 BRUSHSTROKES A DAY
An old wives tale, this is a myth! Brushing your hair 100 times does NOT make them healthy. This stresses the outer layer of your hair, making it appear dry and dull. If you’re still following this old tale, please stop right away! Do not over brush.
BRUSH OR COMB THE TANGLE WITH GENTLE STROKES
Pulling and forcing out the tangles, will only put stress on your hair. Instead, separate the tangled section and hold it in your hand, then lightly run your brush or comb over it until it loosens up.
Hoping everyday is a good hair day for you!
