5 New Ways to Style the Kameez

Stop looking like everyone else

Lately, it has become almost impossible to stand out amidst a crowd. With all the ubiquitous floral lawn prints, lace trims and cropped white pants, it’s hard not to look like a clone. Keeping that in mind, we believe it’s time to spice things up!

Inspired by the recently concluded Fashion Week in Lahore, here are five ways you can look striking and different by ONLY updating your kameez style:

Belt it

Add a little bit of structure to your regular kameez. You can belt it at your hips and tuck it out from the top for a relaxed boho-chic feel or cinch it at the waist to show those curves.

Off the Shoulder

Those who don’t mind showing some skin can take cues from this Harmony by Hang Ten outfit. Isn’t this look perfect for a warm summer brunch?

The ‘Sheer’ Effect

Sheer Kameezes were all the rage on the ramp at PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week last month. Layering a short or long sheer kameez on top of a printed or solid slip, adds a feminine and dramatic touch to your regular outfit. It’s just perfect for a fancy dinner or a party!

Sleeve Play

In theory, this trend may seem a bit silly but when we actually saw a model walk down the runway for Hang Ten, we couldn’t believe our eyes. Sleeves of varying lengths looked surprisingly good!

Wrap it around

The wrap dress was invented by Diane Von Furstenberg and immediately gained popularity. This fashion week, Zara Shahjahan presented a beautiful dusty pink version of the wrap kameez and what can we say? We instantly fell in love with it.
