Oh no, we aren’t comparing anyone with anyone. But why wouldn’t our young female actresses want to have what Mahira Khan has? A mass appeal, amazing projects (like Humsafar) under their belt, and rub shoulders with the likes of Shah Rukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor. Every Pakistani actress would want to have all that and more.
Who has the potential to become the next MK?
There are a number of girls who have impressed us with their performances. So, we bring you a list of 5 Pakistani actresses who can be the next Mahira Khan.
The gorgeous 19 year old, who made her debut with Janaan, has performed brilliantly in her first drama, Titli, and is very likely to become the next Mahira. Endorsements are flying her way at top speed, her outfits are always on point, and her smile is the brightest amongst the lot.
This girl is ready to take on the world with her upcoming films Parwaaz Hai Junoon and Na Maloom Afraad 2. Woah, if only we were this lucky at 19!
She ain’t a newbie in the industry, we agree, but her acting debut came this year with Balu Mahi so she makes the cut. The film may have its shortcomings, but Sadaf was a natural on the big screen. We recently spotted her latkas and jhatkas in a dance number for Na Maloom Afraad and we’re mighty impressed.
One thing which the oh-so-miserable film, Thora Jee Le, managed to do right, was to bring Ramsha Khan under the spotlight. She was the only actor in that film who acted like she knows how to act.
Soon after, her performance in Hum Tv’s drama serial Woh Aik Paal, opposite Ayesha Khan and Feroze Khan, has also impressed the audiences. She can definitely be our next Mahira with her on point expressions and natural poise.
The girl next door from Na Maloom Afraad and the brilliant Shireen in drama serial, Sange Mar Mar, is giving one stellar performance after another. If Kubra’s acting remains as intense as it is now, then no one can stop her from becoming the next Khirad (Mahira Khan’s character’s name in Humsafar).
With eyes that could kill and performances that stay with you for a long time, Iqra Aziz knows how to enthrall the audience. She is all set to play a powerful role in upcoming drama, Ghairat, which talks about the aftermath of honor killing in our society.
The actress has already won the award for Best Television sensation Female at the Hum Awards in 2016. Also, she looks as good opposite Sheheryar Munawar (check out their stereotypical Vim bar ad) as Mahira!
