As soon as the air becomes a little warmer, thousands of [stylish] music lovers flock to Indio, California to participate in Coachella Music Festival. For two weekends, the music festival is the place to be. More than music, Coachella has given birth to a fun and free fashion movement. If you wish to be part of the movement but weren’t able to cross the pond this year, then here are three of the biggest Coachella trends you can add to your daily routine.
Go crazy with hairdos
Rainbow coloured hair, mermaid braids and intergalactic buns inspired by Leia Organa are always winners at Coachella.
While you might not be ready to dunk your entire head in neon pink hair-dye, try a streak of fun colour with hair chalk. Braids, and their endless variations, are a fuss-free way to instantly make your look cooler.

Glitter Your lips
Let’s not get carried away. We’d suggest you to tone down the crazy looks seen at Coachella. Try graphic eyeliner, add tiny rhinestones to your nails/face, and slather on an unconventional lipstick shade.

Flowing, sheer fabrics reign supreme at Coachella, with a sprinkling of macramé and LOTS of bikinis. To get into the festival vibe, hop into your bohemian maxis with billowing sleeves or wide-legged trousers paired with crop tops.
Florals are still a favourite this year, and so are more ethnic Aztec-inspired prints. You can make your favourite lawn print Coachella-ready by adding tassels and fringes.

Shoes are the least of anyone’s worry at a festival, especially in the sweltering 40 degrees. The knee-high gladiator sandals and boots seen at Coachella might not be practical for us. If you are looking for ease, strappy sandals are your best friends.
