It involves at least five yards (according to our darzi) of fabric and you can’t help but twirl when you wear it. We’re talking about the gharara ladies and…ladies! And yes, we know this piece of garment has been trending for the longest time, but our celebrities can’t seem to get enough of it and neither can we.
Here are some of the celebrities that we spotted sporting the gharara with panache.
The first one that has caught our eye is Maya Ali. Why, you ask? look closely and you’ll know why.
Mohsin Naveed Ranjha has outdone himself by hanging Ali’s name with the dori at the back. Now, that’s what we a call a truly customized outfit. But we can’t help but admit that it looks more like a shaadi outfit than an Eid one.
Next up is the budding actress, Minal Khan, in her Rang Ja white gharara with funky tassels. We’re completely digging her look.
Her sister Aiman Khan, on the other hand, decided to sport Maria.B’s pastel, slightly more formal, gharara suit.
P.s. We think Minal beat her this time #NotPromotingSiblingRivalry.
Mawra Hocane got into the Eid spirit before the Eid day itself in this Maroon and white Rang Ja gharara and kurta! We love the ethnic embroidery on this one.
For the first day of Eid, Hocane opted for a grey-white Elan suit – which again featured something similar to a gharara – and looked pretty. As usual.
Sumbul Iqbal, who has upped her style game more than a few notches recently, also opted for the celeb favourite Rang Ja and looked gorgeous in her all-maroon ensemble.
Can you spot the other trend? This Eid is all about matching separates!
