Blush Pink is the new white!

By Mahvish Ahmed

It’s official – one of the most trending colours this season is blush pink! The pretty, peaceful, and feminine hue is an ideal colour to turn to when you want some colour in your life but don’t feel like blinding other people with your brightness. Blush pink not only ruled the Parisian runways, it’s a hit with celebrities across the globe. From Mawra Hocane’s looks on the red carpets of HUM and LUX Style Awards to Kate Middleton’s outfit at Pippa’s wedding, blush pink is a hit amongst the who’s who of the world.

Priyanka Chopra chose a flirty pink number with super long fringes for the People’s Choice Awards in Los Angeles while Deepika Padukone made a recent airport appearance in this fashionable shade. And remember Gigi Hadid’s adorable birthday picture with Zayn Malik? She was wearing a blush pink coat in it! Even Manish Malhotra – Bollywood’s favourite designer – used lots of pink in his latest summer couture line.

So, it makes absolutely no sense for you to deprive yourself from the IT colour of the season. We suggest you rectify your mistake this Eid and sport blush pink on at least one of the three days. With fabrics ranging from organzas to silks as well as cottons, there’s a blush pink kurta to entice each one of you in our list!

We love the polka dots and floral cutwork in this pretty pink slightly boxy shirt. We’re thinking wrap-around shalwar or cropped culottes with this and an arm full of dull gold bangles!

A wrap around belt is not just for your night gown. Misha and Anum show us how you can make it work during the day. Since, the shirt has a lot of elements going for it, let’s keep the rest of the look minimal.

Off shoulders give you a lot of margin to play with your barely used necklace and choker collection so put those to use or wear those super long earrings with this pretty top.
