What happens when you’re adding final touches to your barely there makeup? Nine out of ten times you feel like something’s missing. After critically analysing your makeup, you decide that only a bold lip colour can save the day. So you slather on a bold lipstick, make the eyeliner more winged, and strut out confidently. But what you don’t know is that you end up looking like a clone. It seems like our celebrities have realized this and are opting for a more subdued look.
The subtle and understated nude lips paired with smoky eyes were all the rage at the Lux Style Awards. It is the latest red carpet frenzy and you don’t want to miss it!
Here are our some of our favourite minimalistic looks from the LSA.
To say that a trend is approved by Mahirah Khan goes a long way. She let her outfit do the talking (like she always does) and opted for a full blown smokey eye with nude lips. The side-swept colours made her look all the more glamorous.
Wearing a dress that spoke way louder than red lips, Ayesha Omer made the wise decision of sporting pinkish nude lips and smokey eyes.
Sanam Saeed’s entire look can be described in two words: understated elegance. She could’ve easily opted for a more vibrant makeup look with her monochrome dress, but she stuck to a nude look to make a statement.
The winner of the Best Actress award, Maya Ali, wore a red hot dress to the LSA red carpet. Thankfully, her makeup was minimal with a barely there bronze smokey eye and nude lips leaning towards the brown palette.
The LSA model of the year opted for this look and we’re completely sold. Sadaf Kanwal walked the red carpet sporting her brand new bob, a jaw dropping dress, soft brown nude lips, and gold lids.
