Zoning out at your home seems the easiest way to achieve nirvana, but sometimes Himalayas is what you truly need. In that case, all you need to do is head to Nathia Gali. It is a two and half hour drive from Islamabad, which makes it the most handy hill station in Pakistan.

Reminiscent of colonial architecture, Retreat Hotel has two branches – Green Retreat and Summer Retreat hotels – situated in the highest region of Nathia Gali called Miranjani. The hotel remains open throughout the year and consists of 40 rooms with picturesque views.

Apart from all the basic services like Wi-Fi, valet parking, private balcony, and secured premises, the place is adjacent to civil hospital so in case there is an emergency, they’ve got your covered.

Price: The standard room is for PKR 8,800, the deluxe room is for PKR 11,7500 and the executive room is for PKR 14,100.

It is located in Donga Gali very near to the much loved Mushkpuri track. The cottage like feel of the hotel will instantly remind you of huts from the Victorian era.

Gali’s End looks straight out of a fairy tale. Sitting at a high altitude, this cottage has a breathtaking view of the hills of Kalabagh, Dunga Gali, Nathia Gali, Changla Gali, and Ayubia.

Price: On week days, the rent is for PKR 10, 000 while it is PKR 15,000 for weekends.
Shangrila Pines Hotel

If you are on a budget, then this is the place for you. Especially if you want a master bedroom but don’t want to dish out above 10k. The rooms are perfect and the washrooms not-so-perfect, but Shangrila Pines has people vouching for it. According to the reviews, it has extremely helpful staff and good food.
Highlight: It is close to the stunning Mushkpuri track.
Price: The master bedroom is for PKR 6,500 while the suite is for PKR 15,000.
Alpine Hotel Nathiagali

This one is our favorite. Why, you ask? Because it features an amazing patio with four bedrooms per unit, which is perfect to home a big family (or friends) party! It comes with central heating, Italian floors, and amazing décor. If Instagram-ing is your thing then you’ll enjoy your stay at Alpine.
The coziness of the place with a scenic view would make you want to never leave.
Price: The weekends are booked for PKR 15,000 while the weekdays are booked for PKR 12,000 per day.
Highlight: Separate units for larger parties.
