Top 3 Karachi Spas

Looking for a getaway ? Try these

By Maheen Bajwa

We love living in the metropolitan city of Karachi – especially for its endless entertainment options, the spectacular social life it offers and of course for the myriad fine dining and shopping opportunities. But this sort of variety can often make it difficult to decide which place we would like to spend our Friday evening at, especially when it comes to choosing the perfect spa retreat. But hold your horses, because Women’s Own has made that decision making so much easier for you, by shortlisting three of the best spas in the city to ensure you have a distressing getaway as relaxing as humanly possible.

In a short interview, Akbar expressed her strong belief in using 100% organic products for the treatments to ensure the best possible results in the most natural way possible. So, ladies this spa is truly worth that extra dime.

The Oxygen Spa Specialties are the following:

Amethyst by Roohi

Let me put this in one phrase – Amethyst is a dreamy facade that will leave you awe-struck in the first five minutes. With a relaxing ambience and beauty specialists, you are bound to get a treatment that is specific to your individual needs – I am one of many women who has combination skin and the specialist at Amethyst suggested the Trienzyme Facial. She explained that this facial helps with fine lines and wrinkles, it stimulates cell regeneration, reduces pigmentation and acne scaring and is basically a deep cleansing for the skin. The facial takes place in a room tucked away on their first floor where all you can hear is the harmonious music – now doesn’t that sound like a dream?

The one and a half hour was one of the best salon experiences I have had by miles and trust me, I’ve had a fair share of “spa” treatments in the city.

Schehrazade Spa

in-article-5This place is all about bringing Morocco right to you – with its vibe, music and atmosphere. Here, I opted for their famous mani/ pedi. The verdict? An absolute miracle treat for your hands and feet!  You begin your experience on the most comfy lazy boys and throughout the treatment you get a relaxing massage. The other plus point of Schehrazade is that you are given the open space effect to save you from the claustrophobia.  The staff is possibly one of the friendliest people one will encounter; SS also has a very famous clientele – the day of our visit we bumped into Oscar winner Sharmeen Obaid and we are guilty of being just a tad bit starstruck.

So, keep calm and carry on retreating!
