10 Tips That Will Lift You Up
Having a bad day is normal; unless you’re having a bad day daily then you need to get checked. Just because you woke up at the wrong side of the bed does not mean you spend the entire day in that state. No one can help you feel better unless you, yourself don’t try. It surely is difficult but nowhere is it impossible.
Here are 10 easy tips to turn your awful day into a good one!
Coffee, tea, green tea, hot chocolate, anything you like as long as it’s warm. A 2008 study found that hot beverages promote warm feelings.
Even if you don’t feel like it, go out! Go take a walk, go to the gym or just at the supermarket. Surely it is tempting to be isolated when in a grumpy mood all alone within the four walls but that is not the best idea. Going out improves mood. Change of environment is important. Hence, why people take vacations.
At times all one needs is a good cry. Watch any movie, Disney, an old-time picture and if you feel the tears rolling down your cheeks, let them flow!
TAKE A HOT BATH
According to psychologist Neil Morris, who surveyed 80 people, said that bathing can reduce feelings of depression and pessimism because “baths give you a wonderful combination of isolation, quiet, and comfort.” Start your day with a hot bath followed by the warm drink.
Your mind needs to relax. Give some time to yourself. Sit, deep breathing and exhale the negative energy will help you. Join a yoga class for some help.
Scribble. Write down what you feel. Letting out what’s bothering you helps, even if it makes no sense. There is no one to judge you! Pen down whatever you feel is the issue and once you have figured out the problem then try to find a solution.
Together through thick and thin, call your best friend! They always manage to lift you up and make sure that you feel better. So vent out!
MAKE BLUE YOUR BEST FRIEND
According to colour psychology, looking at the colour blue relaxes your mind. Studies have not commented on this yet. Blue is a pretty refreshing and cool colour and we see no harm in look at blue for a while. Maybe even listen to the song, ‘Blue.’
