The moment we’ve all been looking forward to since weeks has finally arrived! Pakistan’s favorite, Mahira Khan has made her much anticipated walk at the prestigious red carpet of Cannes Film Festival. The international superstar is the first Pakistani ambassador for L’Oreal to make an appearance at Cannes.
Needless to say, the entire country was eagerly waiting to see Mahira’s looks from the festival. And now that all her looks have finally been revealed let’s take a look at them, shall we?
Starting off with her main red carpet look, the star, unfortunately, went through the worst fashion nightmare as her dress got stuck in customs and never arrived in time for the event. None the less, Mahira’s style team came to the rescue and she donned a classic black Alberta Ferretti gown paired with old Hollywood glam waves, winged eyeliner, and a bold red lip! Oh and those Chopard jewels. Even though it would’ve been great to see the star be a bit more experimental, the outfit was a good choice for her first appearance.
The following night Mahira attended the Chopard party and looked super glam in the pink sequined gown with a fluffed black shoulder by Nicolas Jebran. With her hair up in a bun, the star shined through the night.
Our favorite outfit from the event has to be the lavender Maisonyeya dress. The knotted style and pastel color looked absolutely ravishing on the Pakistani beauty.
The “Humsafar” actress also rocked a couple of local designers. Mahira chose to wear a cream Menahel and Mehreen saari with frilled borders and a bedazzled blouse. And we have to say, the saari even though a great piece on its own didn’t seem Cannes worthy.
One of her favorite designers, Elan was also featured by the superstar. Mahira wore a white crossed neck top with flared pants and an open floral blue jacket as she posed by the sea.
Following the contemporary color block trend, Mahira wore a flowy bright yellow top with black pants and a white belt by Solace London. She paired the look with straight blowdried hair, minimal makeup, and some killer Louboutin heels.
Mahira was seen trying to drift from her usual style in a floral two-piece suit. We appreciate the effort but frankly, the outfit seemed like fancy pajamas.
One of the best dresses seen on the superstar was a blush pink piece by Carven, Paris. It flattered Mahira’s body type and had her looking chic.
The “Raees” beauty also rocked a monochrome look. With her collar open wide Mahira seemed ready to take on the festival.
The summery chiffon dress by Blumarine, seen on Mahira was definitely one of our favorite looks.
The basic white tee and blue denim look was a massive hit at the Cannes this year and Mahira certainly did justice to it.
One of the most disappointing outfit choices by Mahira was the first floral two-piece outfit she chose to wear the event.
We definitely had some hits and misses. However, the superstar looked beautiful throughout and we commend her for representing Pakistan at the prestigious event.
