DIY Makeup Hacks
Did you drop your favorite makeup product or broke your lipstick? Is your pressed powder crumbling? We have all been in this situation, and it’s terrifying. Here’s how you fix your broken makeup.
Has your compact powder been compromised? Don’t worry. Crush the remaining powder and then add a few drops of glycerin. Smooth out this mixture with your finger or a spoon. Once you feel it looks brand new, let it rest for a few minutes and you’ve got yourself a brand new compact powder. You can use this for anything that was a powder consistency.
MASCARA, LINER OR CREAM SHADOW
Before you think of throwing away your dry mascara or any other related product think twice because you can fix it with saline solution. Add a few drops of the saline solution and mix it well to the products. Once mixed, you can easily use all these products again instead of throwing them away.
Did you break a lipstick? All you need is some heat. Take the broken lipstick out, use a lighter to melt the back of your lipstick. Hold the flame close enough to melt the broken edges of the stick, make sure you don’t burn them. Once melted, press the pieces together and smooth out the edges with your fingers before you use your brand new lipstick again.
EXTEND MAKEUP LIFE
To extend the life of your makeup, store your products in the refrigerator to extend their shelf life. The environment can take a toll on our products so it’s best to store them in the dark, cool place.
Did you know that your foundation can expire? What if we told you that you can increase the lifespan of your foundation by adding your favorite lotion to it? This will serve two purposes. You’ve made yourself a tinted moisturizer and you’ve extended the life of your product. How cool is that, right!
EYE TO LIP
Did you break an eyeshadow? Want to have some fun? Mix the crumbled eyeshadow with petroleum jelly, and you’ve created your very own lip color which can also be used as an eyeshadow. It serves both the jobs well. Be creative and fun some fun!
