How To Cure Dark Circles

One of the most prominent signs of looking unhealthy, lifeless and dull are dark circles. Today most of our work routines are almost the same whether we are a student or working in an office, we all stay up late nights, not eating healthy, not drinking enough water. These are just some of the things that we have a habit of doing that causes our skin to become tired, dry and starts showing signs of the changes in the body’s appearance.

Dark circles are one, the following are a few ways to get rid of those circles and make your skin look more lit up.

Step 1: Sleep.

The most popular cure for dark circles is sleep. A human body requires 6-8 hours of sleep daily, but we tend to sleep for overtime or don’t bother sleeping at all, which is the main reason for the dark circles. Sleep in the required amount and you will be saying goodbye to those dark circles as well as allowing your body to recharge itself, which is equally important.

Step 2: Tomatoes

Tomatoes are an excellent vegetable for under your eyes, they help you reduce dark circles. Just mix one teaspoon of tomato juice with one and a half teaspoon of lemon juice. Apply the mixture under your eyes on the dark circles, and leave it for about 10 minutes. Rinse it off with cool water. For more effective results use this method twice a day, three times a week to see clear results.

Step 3: Cucumbers

As cliché as it is putting cucumber slices on your eyes, this remedy actually seems to work and there’s a reason why salons use this. With skin lightening and mild contracting properties, this vegetable is ideal for curing those dark circles under the eye since they have soothing and refreshing properties. Cut a cucumber into thick slices and put it in your freezer for about 30 minutes. Place the slices on the dark circles for 10-15 minutes then rinse the area with water. Use this remedy twice every day for a week, to see results.   So now we know this vegetable is always associated with relaxing your raccoon eyes.

Step 4: Rose Water

It may sound a bit odd but rose water is very effective and has been recommended by many people including the elderly, and the reason is that it rejuvenates the skin and reduces the dark circles, it also has a calming effect on your tired eyes. Soak cotton eye pads in rose water and place the soaked pads on your eyelids, leave them on for about 10 minutes, use this remedy twice a day for 2-3 weeks to see clear results.

I hope these remedies help you get rid of dark circles and say hello to a fresher, brighter skin.
