Fakhr-e-Alam Becomes First Pakistani To Solo Travel The World
The star who faced a major setback during the final leg of his journey when he was detained at the Russian airport for traveling with an expired visa, managed to reach out to Pakistani Ambassador to Russia Qazi Khalil Ullah who then provided assistance to the actor in the continuation of his mission.
The singer took to Twitter to share the news. He wrote, “Pakistan, Mission Parwaaz accomplished. We are now in the history books of aviation.” His journey came to an end in Florida, US.
Many congratulated Alam for making the country proud. Designer Asim Jofa tweeted, “I congratulate my dear friend Fakhr-e-Alam on completing Mission Parwaaz and becoming the first Pakistani to circumnavigate the world. Hats off to you. You’ve made all of us and Pakistan, very proud.”
Before leaving for his mission, Fakhre Alam told Images, “I have to do 26000 nautical miles and fly through all the mediums of the planet to achieve circumnavigation. We’re aiming for a 28-day schedule. The rules state I have to use the same aircraft and be in control of it at all time. I’ll be flying to 30 airports around the world.”
Special assistant to the Prime Minister for Overseas Pakistani and Human Resources Development, Zulfiqar Bukhari also lauded Alam’s efforts. He wrote, “Congrats Fakhr-e-Alam for being Pakistan’s first to circumnavigate the globe. Just another time you’ve made us all very proud. Always daring new things. #MissionParwaaz.”
